No internet...

Great. So my internet at home is gone. Not only the internet, but also tv. Can still watch the basic channels but not any of the paid channels. Why? The box it all comes through is apparently broken. Hopefully a technician will come and fix it today, but if they don't have time today, it might not get fixed until after the weekend. To make matters worse my stomach hurt like crazy this morning, so things seem pretty bad today. Anyway, since I'm at the university now I'm able to access the internet on my laptop, and I found this amazing youtube video I want to share with you all. It's basically a lot clips of people doing amazing things such as extreme sports and tricks. It amazed me and made my day just a little better :)

My weekend

I had hoped to do a blog post or two, but never got to actually do it. Friday I was hanging out and drinking beer with some friends including one that moved away a while ago. Was nice to see him again. Saturday I watched BlizzCon because I had missed it Friday, but fortunately it was available on-demand. I watched the SC2 tournament; sadly some of it seemed to be missing and some of the on-demand being bugged. Later on the live feed started again and I watched some Starcraft and some panels. Ended up falling asleep late so missed Tenacious D live; saw it Sunday though. Had hoped for a bit more from them to be honest... it got better towards the end though.

I kind of promised I'd be posting youtube videos here, and I wanna start out by embedding Autumn Leaves by Introspection and Base10. I discovered Base10 recently and his music is amazing, go check out his channel.



So, what have you been up to this weekend? Would you like me to post more videos of music or anything else? I'm open to suggestions. :)

Games, BlizzCon and blogging

When I made this blog, I planned it to pretty much only be about Starcraft, but after a while I realized that Starcraft obviously doesn't appeal to anyone, and that the possibilities of blogging are much larger. I've wondered if I should make another blog just about general stuff, things I find funny, interesting or awesome, but I think for now I will just keep it all to one blog.

BlizzCon is coming up very soon though, and hopefully we will see some awesome tournaments as well as news about the Blizzard games. I also play WoW and the new expansion, Cataclysm, is coming in December. As of lately I've been more 'attracted' to StarCraft though, and I don't know if I will keep raiding in Cataclysm. As for Blizzcon, I bought a virtual ticket a while back, so I will be watching some of it live. I miss some of the Friday stuff since I will be going out for a while.

Lastly I play a little bit of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It's nice to play sometimes when you're bored of the other games and to play a fps-style game instead of rts and mmo.

Replays

I'm sitting at uni right now and am unable to listen to good replays from HuskyStarcraft and HDStarcraft, but I plan on embedding good replays here and commenting what I think about them. Perhaps I will cast some of my own replays in the future and discuss what I can do to improve my play. Currently I'm 1200 something Platinum in 1v1, sadly haven't made it to diamond yet, and it seems pretty hard to get promoted to Platinum when having done 300 something games. I reached diamond in 2v2 though with a friend. 3v3 and 4v4 is only gold but then again, I have done very few games in those 2 brackets.

So stay tuned for some more action, hopefully I will have time to get some content up in the following week.
